Training
Packages
If you’re looking into dog training, we know you’re committed to doing what it takes to help your dog become their best! We offer packages of 4, 6, or 8 lessons, which can be done either in-person or virtual.
PUPPIES
Start smart! Start Early! Training your pup the moment you get them is key to setting positive boundaries and expectations. It’s never too earlier to start training.
Puppies, like toddlers, have a shorter attention span, so usually a 30 min lesson is about as long as their attention span can handle.
PRICING: In Person: $35/lesson Virtual: $30 (4 pkg min)
PRICING: $45-$70/hr (depending on breed size & virtual vs in-person) (4 pkg min)
PETS
Have you ever considered getting rid of your dog because of their bad behaviors?
The reality is, the next owner most likely won’t be able to do anymore than you could & dogs with serious or chronic behavior issues either end up returning to shelters over and over again or are eventually euthanized.
That’s why being committed to getting your dog the training they need could literally save its life!
A well trained dog is a joy to be around. You deserve a well trained dog and your dog deserves to be his best!
SERVICE DOGS
You won’t pay $40,000 to $80,000 like many program dogs require and spend years on a waiting list.
We could easily charge $150 per hour for the level of training we do, but we know that simply isn’t reasonable for most people’s budgets.
At Regal K9s we understand how vital a service dog can be to opening up a world of possibilities for those with disabilities. We also feel strongly that everyone should be able to afford an exceptionally trained service dog to help mitigate those disabilities, which is the sole reason why we have made training incredibly affordable.
Our standards are also extremely high to ensure that your service dog is trained with the same – or even higher – standards as the best program dogs.
Even if you don’t yet have a dog, we can help you find the perfect prospect!

Therapy Dogs and
Emotional Support Dogs
Therapy dogs, although not service dogs, must also have exceptional training, particularly because they will most likely be visiting hospitals, nursing homes, crisis centers, day treatment centers, schools, etc. Therapy dogs must meet very high standards & we can make certain they are well prepared for any situation!
Emotional support animals (ESA) do not have public access rights, which means they are not allowed into places that are not pet friendly. However, your ESA may often accompany you to pet friendly places, so they need to be well trained. We can also help you understand the different laws with regard to service dog rights verses emotional support animal rights so you know exactly what to expect!
However, even if they are only emotional support at home, part of their job is to help reduce stress, not create more of it and that begins with being well trained!
AGGRESSIVE, DESTRUCTIVE AND DIFFICULT CASES
We believe that exceptional training can help even the toughest cases.
At Regal K9s we have been able to rehabilitate dogs that other professional trainers were at an absolute loss as to how to help them.
We were even able to help rehabilitate a police K9 that became dangerously aggressive even toward his own family and who lost his job…and was about to lose his life…because of it.
We believe every dog can thrive with the right training if they are with someone who is dedicated to that training and committed to doing everything it takes in order to save their dog’s life.

FAQ
SERVICE DOG FAQ
For service dogs, do you fully train the dog first?
We are not a program so we are not set up to provide a fully trained dog to various candidates through an extensive application process.
At Regal K9s, we help those that are interested in owner training their potential service dog and who are looking for a highly qualified trainer to help them achieve this goal.
For service dogs, what if I don't have time to train the dog myself?
Training a dog to become a service dog requires commitment, consistency and dedication. Not everyone has the ability or desire to do this themselves. However, even highly trained dogs require continuous, ongoing training/reinforcement by each handler. This is simply part of what it means to own a service dog.
Having a service dog implies the ability, commitment and desire to work with your dog on a consistent basis to help them be their best. If that is too daunting, there may be other alternatives to a service dog and we are happy to discuss other options that may work better for you.
Aren't therapy dogs, service dogs and emotional support dogs all the same thing?
There has been A LOT of confusion lately about the difference between a fully trained service dog, emotional support, and therapy dogs.
This has been brought on by a substantial amount of misinformation that many stand to profit greatly from.
The short answer is, they are not the same thing…not at all.
Emotional support animals have rights where you live, but cannot enter public spaces unless they are pet friendly.
Therapy animals may, upon approval, work within the community to provide therapy to those in hospitals, nursing homes, crisis centers, day treatment centers, etc., but neither have public access at any other facility not previously approved nor non pet-friendly places or dwellings that do not allow pets.
Service dogs are entirely different altogether. They are specifically task trained to aid a person with disabilities. They require the highest level of training in order to help their handler mitigate their disabilities and are the only dogs that have public access rights once they are a trained in these tasks.
How do I know if I qualify for a service dog?
Service dogs are specifically to aid persons with a disability. Therefore, you must not only have a disability, but one that a service dog could be task trained to help you with.
Please contact us if you are uncertain if a service dog is right for you. We are happy to help!
OTHER FAQ
No one else has been able to help my dog, what can you do differently?
At Regal K9s we tailor the training to the dog.
Every dog learns differently and, unfortunately, not all dog trainers understand this.
At Regal K9s we use world class training techniques used by some of the most sought after trainers from across the globe. We then combine these techniques with our own “special sauce” to help your dog do what no one ever thought possible!
I live out of state, can you still train my dog?
Yes! We offer virtual training and some of our toughest cases have been dogs who had to be trained virtually because they lived in another state.
The most important part of training is your commitment. Whether in-person or virtual, how well your dog will do is directly impacted by your commitment to their training!
When should puppies start training?
The best time to start with your pup is as soon as possible!
Obviously, it will look a little different the younger they are, but good habits have their beginning by implementing training the moment your pup comes home!
Whether it’s potty training, socialization, and even bonding, the earlier you start training the better!
What training techniques do you use?
As mentioned before, every dog is different and, therefore our techniques, tools and approaches may be vastly different for each dog and their specific needs and learning styles.
Whether it is using tools, treats or toys (or all of the above), we believe that training should always be a positive experience.
Your dog should love training and look forward to it! It is not about getting your dog to do what you want when you want, rather it’s about bringing out the best in both of you!
